Hospital Beatriz Ângelo is a public hospital, part of the National Health Service and opened in January 2012.
Hospital Beatriz Ângelo vision is to be a reference operator in the provision of health care, for the practice of high quality medicine and for excellence in coordination and integration with the various levels of care, and its mission is to provide health care to the population of its area of influence, in absolute respect for the individuality and needs of patients, and based on principles of effectiveness, quality and efficiency; contribute to the development of research and the training of professionals in their field of activity.
It has been accredited since 2018 by JCI and has an environmental certification under the ISO 14001 standard as well as a quality certification under the ISO 9001 standard | Pharmacy, Imaging and Sterilization, Nuclear Medicine.
Hospital Beatriz Ângelo has 424 beds for an activity involving around 1200 employees.
In the research area, the Hospital:
- Develops, promotes and supports research;
- It encourages the development of new methodologies that add value to the care provided to our customers.
As part of the Hospital da Luz Learning Health, we have a team of 11 employees, made up of clinical trial coordinators, project managers, contract managers and research grant managers.
In 2019, Luz Saúde opened an internal competition to finance projects from the investigators' initiative, a strategic investment of the group in clinical research. These grants are intended to contribute to the promotion, structuring and professionalization of research in the group.
