The Lisbon Academic Medical Center (Centro Académico de Medicina de Lisboa − CAML) is an institution with a highpotential for promoting clinical and translational research due to the joint competences of its three Institutions (CHULN, Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa and iMM João Lobo Antunes), and to the internationally acknowledged excellence of several of its investigators.

Located at CHULN, Hospital de Santa Maria, the CAML Clinical Research Centre aims to promote and facilitate the development of clinical research within the CAML, improve scientific, biomedical and clinical knowledge at CHULN, the internationalization and fundraising for research, and the exposure of CHULN as a clinical trial centre, as well as partnerships with other institutions.
